FuGE | FuGO
The Functional Genomics Investigation Ontology (FuGO) is being developed to model functional genomics domains such as Proteomics, Metabol/nomics, as well as Transcriptomics. This work will also be extended to additional communities working together under RSBI. The development of FuGO will use the MGED Ontology as it's foundation, that is the MGED Ontology will be expanded and re-organized to accomadate additional domains. This work is being done by members of the MGED Ontology Working Group, the MGED RSBI Working Group, the HUPO PSI Ontology Working Group, the SMRS Group.
This work will be focused in two major areas 1) moving existing classes into the appropriate Common or Bio sections and 2) creating domain specific areas.
